Finance Committee

The primary duties of a finance committee are:

  • Overseeing organizational financial planning and ensuring the board approves the annual budget
  • Safeguarding organizational assets
  • Drafting organizational financial policies
  • Anticipating financial problems
  • Ensuring the board receives regular and timely financial statements
  • Ensuring accurate financial records are kept
  • Making sure all necessary legal reports are filed
