Ms. Pennington earned an MBA from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University. She is a Certified Public Accountant with more than twenty years experience in public accounting including seven years with a big-eight firm. She also has seven years of experience as a nonprofit controller and five years of experience as a controller in real estate development and property management. Ms. Pennington is experienced in providing audit, tax and accounting services to trade associations, child development centers, schools, churches, and other not-for-profit organizations.
Ms. Pennington serves on the Greater Washington Society of CPAs Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee and has been a speaker at the GWSCPA Not-for-Profit Symposium.
Ms. Pennington has held a number of volunteer positions including:

- Corpus Christi School, School Board Member, 1996 to 2002
