Laura Kalick has over 35 years of experience in both private and government practice including the IRS National Office, the US Senate, large accounting firms and practicing law. Laura has advised a diverse group of complex exempt organizations including colleges and universities, public charities, private foundations, trade associations, hospitals and social welfare organizations.

Laura’s expertise covers transactions and contracts between exempt organizations and taxable entities, corporate reorganizations, private inurement, private benefit, intermediate sanctions, unrelated business income and allocation of expenses, lobbying and political activity, public charity status, and private foundation excise taxes. Laura also works with nonprofit clients on applications for exemption, ASC 740-10(FIN 48) documentation, IRS audits and the new Form 990.
